Support the campaign to reduce school staff workloads

Victorian teachers work an average of 15 hours unpaid overtime every week.Principals work up to 60 hours per week and education support staff can’t complete their duties during paid hours.

These excessive and unsustainable workloads lead to stress, exhaustion and burnout, and ultimately to school staff leaving.

The Victorian Government spends $1354 less per student than the national average and our students are the lowest funded in the nation.

If our schools were funded like other states, principals could employ more teachers and education support staff.

TheVictoria Government has to invest in our teachers, principals and education support staff, so they can provide high quality education and support for students.

Support the AEU’s campaign to reduce school staff workloads and ensure every child gets the education they deserve.
